Big Break Regional Shoreline
Big Break Regional Shoreline will be closed Thursday, Oct. 30, for a construction project.
Crown Memorial State Beach
A paving project affecting the parking lots off the Otis Street entry to Crown Memorial State Beach in Alameda is tentatively scheduled for Monday, October 13, through Thursday, October 16. These dates are subject to change. The paving project will temporarily close the parking lots south of the entrance loop off Otis Street; park visitors will still be able to access the Otis Street entry loop for pick-up and drop-off. The McKay Avenue entrance to the Crab Cove Visitor Center will not be affected.
Contra Costa Canal Trail
From December 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009, the Contra Costa Water District will conduct its annual cleaning and maintenance of the Contra Costa Canal. The canal will be back in service by April 1, 2009.

Contra Loma Regional Park
The Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) has lowered the reservoir about 6.5 feet. The 2 fishing docks are currently closed as is fishing from the boat launch dock. Boat launch remains open.
Iron Horse Trail
Iron Horse Trail will have a small reroute at the North Mt. Diablo Blvd. entryway in Walnut Creek due to construction project next to trail.
Kennedy Grove Regional Recreation Area
The San Pablo Dam Reservoir located to the east of the park will under go a major construction project lasting for about two years. This construction project will begin July 14 and will affect the park entrances to Kennedy Grove depending on the day of the week. See the Kennedy Grove Web page for information.
Redwood Regional Park
The Toyon Trail in Redwood Regional Park is closed to equestrians until next spring. A major trail rehabilitation project has been completed, and the trail tread will not tolerate horse traffic until that time.
Tilden Regional Park
South Park Drive will be closed from November 1, 2008, until April 1, 2009, to protect migrating newts.
The Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) is planning to lower the reservoir depth after scheduled fishing derbies in October. CCWD will lower the reservoir 20 feet to complete an elevation gage project near the dam. This will close the two fishing docks as well. Back to top
